Research Interests: Energetic materials, organic thermoelectrics

Bio:

I am interested in energetic materials and how they can be used to store and convert energy in environmentally-friendly ways. During my undergraduate studies at the Colorado School of Mines, I worked on a project to improve the integration of III/V materials on silicon for photovoltaic applications. Now, at UCSB, I am working on developing polymer-based biocompatible thermoelectrics for energy generation. My goal is to learn how many different types of materials can be used for energetic applications. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, water polo, cooking, reading, and walking on the beach.
